Hello
Welcome to this series and this bumper two episode introduction to ‘Form - The Audio’. Following these two episodes, a link to each new episode will be sent every seven days - there are ten episodes in total. I hope you enjoy…
Working on Form has made me realise that my personal ‘Valleys Project’ has come to an end – there will be no more projects in the making. Probably…
I have approached the presentation of the selected work covered within Form from differing perspectives and have, for the first time, included the highly personal dimension that has driven my work in the Valleys. As such, some may be surprised by what they find – I have to admit that my love and enthusiasm for the Valleys runs deeper than even I realised. It is palpable.
There are ten audio episodes – the two here cover the Foreword and End of the Row chapter in the book which is available at my online shop.
Episode 1 - Foreword
The first part of this episode was recorded at Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd, which was where I started to work through how I might approach photographing the Valleys. The second part is the text from the book read by me. The 10 episodes vary in length between approximately 10 and 25 minutes long and are published every 7 days. Episode 2 - End of the Row
The first part of this episode was recorded at Ynyshir in the Rhondda Valley, which was where I grew up and where my inspiration for photographing in the terraced streets of the Valleys comes from. The second part is the text from the book read by me. The 10 episodes vary in length between approximately 10 and 25 minutes long and are published every 7 days.
